South American Client Secures Customized Light-Duty Shelving Solution – Sample Order of 2 Sets En Route

2026-09-03

Nanjing, China – September 3, 2026 – A South American industrial distributor has placed an initial sample order for light-duty shelving systems following a comprehensive customization consultation with a Chinese storage equipment manufacturer. The order, comprising two complete sets, is currently being prepared for shipment to the client's address for quality and fitment validation.

The client's requirements were clearly defined from the outset: a shelving system with precise specifications including W900mm × D450mm × H2400mm, 8 levels, and a load capacity of 100kg per level. The bill of materials specified 3,000 shelves, 6,000 angle steel posts (2400×38×38×1.5mm, powder-coated grey), and 750 steel panels (900×450×0.7mm, 100kg/level, powder-coated grey), along with accompanying corner plates, bolts, and plastic feet.

A critical detail emerged during the design phase: the connection method. The manufacturer's standard production utilizes keyhole-shaped punched holes (葫芦孔) for tool-free assembly. When the client was shown this connection type via image, they immediately confirmed it aligned with their expectations—a seamless validation that accelerated the quoting process.

Color selection presented a minor consideration. The client's specification sheet indicated grey, but without a specific RAL color code. The manufacturer's sales team promptly queried whether white, black, or grey was preferred, noting that different colors carry distinct cost implications. After internal discussion, the team decided to proceed with a standard grey quote as a baseline, awaiting further client feedback on specific color preferences.

With all specifications confirmed and the connection method verified, the manufacturer compiled a complete quotation and, importantly, recommended a sample order of two complete sets to be shipped to the client's South American address. This low-risk trial approach allows the client to physically inspect product quality, assembly ease, and dimensional accuracy before committing to the full order volume.

The sample order is now in production and scheduled for imminent shipment, demonstrating the manufacturer's commitment to quality assurance and responsive service for international clients.
