Why Cold Room Operators Choose Drive-In Racking

Cold chain warehouses pay for every cubic metre of refrigerated air, so unused aisle space is pure operating cost. A drive-in racking system removes the picking aisle entirely: forklifts drive directly into the racking lane and place pallets one behind another, stacking 2 to 10 pallets deep at every level. The same frozen footprint can hold up to 80% more pallet positions than conventional selective racking, which cuts refrigeration load, lighting cost and floor space at the same time.

Our cold storage drive-in racking is built for the environment it lives in. All uprights, beams and arm rails are produced from Q235B or Q345B structural steel, shot blasted, then finished with a cold-room grade powder coating that stays flexible at -40 C and resists condensation-driven corrosion inside freezer chambers.

Packing and Delivery

Uprights are wrapped with stretch film and bundled with steel straps, beams are stacked on wooden pallets with edge protection, all frames are loaded in seaworthy export packing with container loading plan provided. Standard production lead time is 20 to 25 days after deposit, and our engineers supply layout drawings, load calculations and an installation manual with every cold room project.
